Windsocks
A windsock or dirt cone is a conical textile tube designed to indicate wind direction and relative draught speed. Windsocks approximately are used at airports and at chemical plants where there is risk of gaseous leakage. They are sometimes located alongside highways at windy locations.
The kite Windsocks was first invented and popularized approximately 2,800 years ago in China, where materials ideal for kite building were readily available: silk fabric for sail material, fine, high-tensile-strength silk for flying line, and resilient bamboo for a strong, lightweight framework.
